Del Grosso notches four points

New Westminster’s Brandon Del Grosso had a goal and three assists as the Vancouver Northwest Giants downed the Thompson Blazers 8-2 Sunday in B.C. Major Midget Hockey League play.

The Giants also defeated the Blazers 6-2 the day before, as all the league’s games on the weekend were played at the Langley Events Centre following an all-star game Friday.

The Giants (26-2-2) lead the league with 54 points, nine more than the rest of the pack. They will play the Valley West Hawks in Langley on Saturday and at the Burnaby Winter Club on Sunday, 9:30 a.m.
