Royal City rink reaches provincials
A team from he Royal City Curling Club skipped by Marilou Richter has qualified for the provincial women’s championship.
Richter, third Darah Provencal, second Jessie Sanderson and lead Sandra Comadina were the A event qualifiers at an event in Vernon earlier this month, the first of three qualifying bonspiels for the B.C. championship to be held Jan. 14-20 at the Cloverdale Curling Club.
Former RCCC skip Marla Mallett, who now plays with a foursome based at Cloverdale has already qualified for the event as has defending champion Kelly Scott of Kelowna.
