Hyacks reach Crehan Cup semis, South to consolation round
The New Westminster Hyacks have reached the semi-finals of the Crehan Cup senior girls basketball Lower Mainland championship. They beat Kitsilano 70-56 on Monday.
Ariana Sider led all Hyack scorers with 36 points while Meriam Ali netted 19.
The Hyacks will play Handsworth Thursday at Steveston-London secondary school.
Handsworth advance by defeating Burnaby South 91-53.
