Border agency takes action against New West company

The Canada Border Services Agency has charged a New Westminster company and its operators with six counts of employing a foreign national without authorization.

The CBSA has alleged Nektarios Stripping Construction employed six concrete form strippers at various sites around Metro Vancouver that weren't legally allowed to be employed in Canada. The charges have been filed against Nektarios, which operates out of a home on Richmond Street near the Burnaby border, and John and Constantina Psarrakis. They are scheduled to make their first appearance in New Westminster Provincial Court on Jan. 8, 2014.
