Dhak gang henchman to serve three years for gun offences

A long-time associate of the Dhak crime group faces a three-year jail term after being sentenced Monday on two weapons charges.

Ryan Gregory Milliard, 30, had been arrested March 30 by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C. for breach of bail conditions after he was found living in New Westminster instead of Surrey.

A search of the New West home turned up several ounces of cocaine, marijuana, two loaded semi-automatic pistols and $120,000 in cash.

Milliard was sentenced to 44 months and 15 days in prison, but got credit for eight and a half months spent in custody, leaving 36 months to serve.

CFSEU-BC officials had predicted Milliard's arrest would further disrupt the Dhak group's activity.

In February, CFSEU-BC arrested Jujhar Khun Khun, Jason McBride and Mike Jones on Project E-Nitrogen, an 18-month investigation into the murder of Jonathan Bacon, and attempted murder of four of his associates in Kelowna in 2011.
