May Day Royal Suite chosen

The 2013 May Day Royal Suite will be headed up by a pair of students from F.W. Howay elementary.

In a draw held during Monday evening's city council meeting, Anastasia Sabinin was named May Queen with Ben Crowther to act as her Royal Knight.

The rest of the entourage chosen (with their Royal Knights) include:

First maid of honour – Zoe Braithwaite, Trevor Schweitzer (Richard McBride)

Second maid of honour – Charissa Vanags, Lucas Marinescu (Hume Park)

Medal bearer – Abigail Higgins, Jacob Higgins (Lord Tweedsmuir)

Register bearer – Sara Fejzic, Owen Partaik (Lord Kelvin)

First flower girl – Synthia Zhang, Kirk Bothwell (John Robson)

Second flower girl – Ashleena Beryar, Cameron Attwell (Queensborough middle)

Third flower girl – Olivia Smith, Greyson Planinsic (Connaught Heights)

Fourth flower girl – Sydney Benson, Cohen Codrington (Herbert Spencer)

The royal suites will participate in the annual May Day celebration held during the Hyack Festival.
