Coyote sighting near New Westminster school
A coyote has been spotted wandering around Sixth Avenue and Cumberland as youngsters make their way to classes at Sir Richard McBride elementary.
Area resident Vagn Linck said the coyote has been seen several times in the last three or four weeks. On Tuesday morning, at about 8:50, Linck spotted the animal as students walked to school.
"He spooked a father and a young child," said Linck. "There's at least 50 kids walking back and forth to school every day."
Linck said he is worried a child walking alone could get attacked.
