Police seek suspects in pepper-spray incident
New Westminster police are looking for a male and his four companions who were involved in a pepper spraying incident on a TransLink bus near McBride Boulevard at 9:45 p.m. Sunday night.
According to police a male who had boarded the bus with two other males and two females at the 22nd Street SkyTrain station fell over in his seat when the bus passed over a bump.
The male got verbally abusive with the driver and as they left the bus near McBride, he sprayed the driver with pepper spray, then fled on foot with the rest of his group.
Two other adult passengers were affected by the spray. All the victims were treated at the scene by EHS and the New West fire department.
