Open houses on St. Mary's elementary, Queen's Park master plan
An open house to update New Westminster residents on the progress of the new school being planned for the old St. Mary's Hospital site is scheduled for Wednesday, June 27.
It will be held in the city hall foyer from 5 to 8 p.m. with officials from both the city and the New Westminster school district.
The open house will provide information on the development process and principles, the Neighbourhood Learning Centre principles, the park development principles, and the timelines for construction.
At approximately the same time, 4 to 8 p.m., the city will also be having an open house and barbecue for the Queen's Park draft master plan in the arena lobby.
It was developed after a design charette and public review session on what the public preferred.
The input has been refined into a plan giving direction and priorities for implementation, and the city is seeking resident feedback.
