New Westminster, Surrey business groups to discuss Pattullo Bridge future

The New Westminster Chamber of Commerce and the Surrey Board of Trade are jointly hosting a forum for the business community to discuss the future of the Pattullo Bridge on May 24.

The event, being hosted at New Westminster's Fraser River Discovery Centre, will include a representative from TransLink, who will give a presentation on the options for the bridge. The cities of New Westminster and Surrey will then share their perspectives, and following that the Lower Mainland Chamber Transportation Panel will share their business opinions and there will be a question and answer period.

"We need businesses to offer their perspectives on this vital transportation connector for the business community," said Cori Lynn Germiquet, executive director of the New West chamber. "The Pattullo Bridge affects both of our business communities."

The meeting is at 788 Quayside Dr. from 10 a.m. to noon.
