Lowe's signs on as Hyack Festival title sponsor
Lowe's Canada has agreed to become the title sponsor for New Westminster's iconic and historic Hyack Festival.
This year's edition will run May 18 to 27.
"The addition of Lowe's is a significant step in elevating the status of the nine-day festival," said Hyack executive director Douglas Smith in a press release.
Lowe's opened its New Westminster home improvement warehouse in Queensborough last year.
"As new members of the community, Lowe's is thrilled to be the title sponsor," said store manager Ramona Paul. "We're excited to be serving the community and to be involved in a program so deeply rooted in the culture of New Westminster."
This year's festival parade on Sixth Street on May 26 will be followed by a new street party with entertainment, including bands, called Uptown Live. Two of Hyack's partners in the endeavour will be the Royal City Centre and the Westminster Centre malls.
