Hyack Parade gets title sponsor

Get ready for the Key West Ford Hyack International Parade.

That's what the 41st annual parade will be officially known as in 2012 with the New Westminster car dealership agreeing to become its presenting sponsor when it rolls down Sixth Street on May 26.

As part of the agreement with the Hyack Festival Association, Key West will also be the official vehicle supplier of the Hyack Festival and other major festivals and events through the year.

"We have been supporting Hyack for years with their vehicle needs for the parades, but we felt the time was right to elevate our support," said Key West Ford general manager Adam Isfeld in a press release. "Putting our name on the parade is the right choice for our brand. Hyack has some exciting plans ahead and we want to be part of it."

Hyack executive director Douglas Smith said the association had been looking for someone to take over the naming rights for the parade because it is one of the organization's strongest event properties.
