Julian brings back bill
Burnaby-New Westminster NDP MP Peter Julian has reintroduced a bill to protect Canadian citizens living abroad who are victims of human, environmental or labour rights violations by Canadian individuals or corporations.
Julian said when those rights are violated there is little concrete or effective enforcement. His bill would create a civil cause of action remedy. Its first introduction died with the May 2 federal election call.
