Youth centre celebrates first birthday

The New Westminster Youth Centre, which has more than 700 members, will celebrate its first birthday on Thursday, Sept. 15, 3:15 to 9 p.m. at the centre in Moody Park.

"The youth centre and staff have helped youth get back into school, get jobs, gain life skills, and get the emotional, physical, social and health support they need," said Sandon Fraser, the city's youth services coordinator.
