Alerts available at Douglas College
Remember telephone chains that let everybody know when school was out because of a snowstorm?
They're a thing of the past at Douglas College, where students are encouraged to sign up for DC Alerts, an electronic notification system that sends text and phone messages and emails in case of emergencies such as chemical spills, power outages and extreme weather conditions.
