Sikh parade, celebration in Queensborough on Sunday

The Sikh community will hold a big celebration at the Sukh Sagar temple in Queensborough on Sunday.

The Khalsa Diwan Society festivities are in memory of the fifth Sikh guru, Arjan Dev Ji. The Nagar Kirtan (Punjabi for parade) starts at the temple, 347 Wood St. at 10 a.m. and finishes at the Queensborough Community Centre.

Activities also include sports competitions, turban tying displays and free food.
