New Westminster's Citizen of the Year nominees unveiled
Art is a big theme with the nominees for this year's New Westminster Chamber of Commerce's Bernie Legge Cultural Award.
The nominees include artists Angie Au Hemphill and Max Jacquaird. Another nominee, Trudy Van Dop runs a gallery while Mary Wilson spearheaded a public art project for 12th Street. Also nominated is former Douglas College music instructor Henry Waack.
Up for the chamber's citizen of the year are Virginia Bremner, Craig Gardner, Vance McFayden, Bill Radbourne, Vivian Scoates, Peter Soet and Ron Suffron.
The winners will be announced at a banquet Wednesday, April 27 at the Inn at the Quay. For more information go to www.newwestchamber.com.
