Four men slashed at weekend party

Four Surrey men in their mid-20s were victims of slashing wounds at a private party in New Westminster early Saturday morning.

Police said they received a report of several men being assaulted with a sharp instrument in the 700 block of Carnarvon Street shortly before 1:30 a.m. Police say about 200 were at the party.

The four were taken to Royal Columbian Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police said the suspects left the scene before they arrived and descriptions of them were not available. The investigation is continuing.
