Puck paintings, landscapes at library
Two diverse art shows are on display at the New Westminster Public Library this month.
On the Ramp is for die-hard hockey fans who can't wait for October and next season, that's if there isn't a lockout or strike come opening night. Joe Canuck, more properly known as Andy Wong, will be displaying his exhibition of limited edition hockey prints called "Someday It Will Happen."
The other show features the landscapes of Peter Csizmar and Sasha Pupovac in the reference department. Csizmar grew up in Vojvodina, a beautiful province in Serbia full of textures, earth colours, flowers and fields that influence his work.
Although Pupovac was born in Yugoslavia, he has fallen in love with British Columbia's landscapes. His abstract and impressionist style works are sold all over North America and Europe.
