Car share program expanding New West fleet
The MODO car co-op is increasing its fleet of vehicles in New Westminster.
The city has announced MODO will bring in four more cars giving it a total of 12 located throughout New West. The city said the move is a step toward encouraging the community to take one less car trip per week as part of its partnership with TransLink’s TravelSmart program.
“The last weeks of summer are a good time to evaluate the costs of car ownership and give car sharing a try,” said acting Mayor Jonathan Coté.
MODO has vehicles stationed in the West End, Quayside—including two at the River Market—Downtown, Uptown, and Sapperton.
