Help in quest for Exoskeleton
New Westminster’s Honour House is encouraging the public’s support for one of the inspirations behind its establishment.
Capt. Trevor Greene was injured while serving in Afghanistan and his recovery journey had a lot to do with Honour House organizer Alan De Genova’s effort to provide veterans and first responders and their families a place to stay while receiving treatment on the Lower Mainland.
“His incredible recovery has defied the odds, inspired many, and continues today,” according to an Honour House press release.
His goal to walk again would be boosted if he was able to access state-of-the-art Exoskeleton technology, which isn’t widespread in its availability and is expensive.
Exoskeleton is a portable system of braces, motors and a computer that allows wheelchair-bound patients to walk.
