Hitch a ride with the NWPD

The New Westminster Police Department will be out in full force Saturday night as part of Operation Red Nose.

Officers, civilians, reserve volunteers and NWPD volunteers will be providing safe rides home to holiday party-goers.

It’s the first year the NWPD has taken part in the program, teaming up with Burnaby, Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam in the cause.

New West will provide eight vehicles and 25 volunteers. All funds raised will go to KidSport, an organization that removes financial barriers to kids wanting to play organized sports.
