Art, ESL circle at libarary

There’s a variety of art on display during December at the New Westminster Public Library.

Century House Painters are showing off samples of their work that utilizes a variety of styles and media including acrylic, watercolour and collage portraying landscapes, florals and people. The reference department has Martin Jasiuk’s show Forest and Swamplands. The self-taught painter’s work displays his passion for the forests of British Columbia and Europe.

They can be viewed any time the library is open until Dec. 31.

The library is also offering free, drop-in ESL conversation circles for adults every Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and for women and children only on Fridays from 10 to 11 a.m.

The programs for those wanting to meet people and practise speaking English are co-sponsored by Family Services of Greater Vancouver.
