Telling tales on a tour of Sapperton
A Sapperton Tour, part two, will hit the streets of the community on Sunday, July 15.
The walking tour put on by A Sense of History Research Services is a follow-up to the first one held in May. Like the first, this one will start at Sapperton Park and feature information not only about Royal Columbian Hospital, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2012, but also Knox Presbyterian church, an early theatre, a bowling alley, old restaurants, an early school, streetcar lines, gas stations and an occasional boxcar.
The tour is free, will go rain or shine, and will take about 90 minutes to to hours to complete.
