150 years of Royal City Masonic history
A century and a half of Masonic Lodges in the Royal City will be the subject of the New Westminster Historical Society's June 20 presentation.
The Masons are marking 150 years in New Westminster. The first lodge was formed in 1861 and 1862. The presentation will have stories on Freemasonary in the Royal City, the buildings they occupied and the former Masonic Cemetery, now part of Fraser Cemetery.
Local historian Archie Miller will tell stories of the Masons' lodges and buildings and the former Masonic Cemetery. Free and everyone is welcome. There is no need to pre-register. When: Wednesday, June 20, 7:30 p.m. Where: Auditorium of the New Westminster Public Library, 716-6th Avenue, New Westminster.
