River Market gets real estate group award

New Westminster's River Market was named a Land Champion in the private company category at the recent Real Estate Foundation of B.C. Land Awards.

The awards celebrate dynamic, forward-thinking people and organizations that create more resilient, healthy communities as well as natural environments. The market has been rebranded in recent years with a "food-led revitalization," said a market press release.

"This award is a huge gust of wind in our sails," said market co-founder Mark Shieh in the release. "We share this honour with River Market tenants, who are our partners."
