Platinum awards seek best of New West
The New Westminster Chamber of Commerce is looking for nominations for their Platinum Awards to be held Nov. 15.
The awards take the place of two events the Chamber formerly put on, the Celebration of Business Excellence (COBE) and Citizen of the Year/Bernie Legge Cultural Award galas.
Along with the city’s top citizen and the cultural award, the chamber is looking for nominations for outstanding contributions in New Westminster in the categories of junior citizen, home-based business, not-for-profit organization (under $1 million and over-$1 million in revenue), green business, customer service business, customer service individual, community spirit, new business (small, medium and large) and business (small, medium and large).
Nominations can be sent to miranda@newwestchamber.com or faxed to 604-521-0057, or mailed to 601 Queens Ave. Deadline is Oct. 15. The Platinum Awards gala will be held at the La Perla Ballroom at the River Market.
